HELPING MUMS AND DADS NAVIGATE THE UPS AND DOWNS OF PARENTHOOD
The Little Bean Podcast is a cornerstone of Memory Lane, and it stands as a testament to my dedication to helping parents navigate the incredible journey of parenthood. Now in its second season, this podcast is more than just a series of episodes; it’s a lifeline for new and expecting parents, providing them with a mix of expert advice, personal stories, and practical tips. The podcast is my way of creating a supportive and engaging community for parents, ensuring they never feel alone during one of the most challenging and rewarding times of their lives.
My journey into podcasting was born out of my own experiences as a mum and my interactions with countless families through my photography. I realised that while capturing beautiful portraits of newborns was a joy, there was a deeper need for ongoing support and connection that extended beyond the photography sessions. The Little Bean Podcast was created to fill that gap, offering parents a friendly voice, a wealth of knowledge, and a sense of camaraderie as they navigate the highs and lows of parenthood.
Each episode of The Little Bean Podcast is carefully crafted to address the myriad aspects of the parenting journey. From the exhilarating rollercoaster of pregnancy to those first few exhausting but exciting weeks with your newborn, with the help of fabulous guests, we cover it all. The podcast delves into topics that matter most to parents, such as preparing for childbirth, managing sleep deprivation, and finding balance in the early days of parenting. What sets this podcast apart is its blend of professional expertise and personal anecdotes, making the content both informative and relatable.
My hope is that my passion for helping parents shines through in every episode. By inviting a diverse range of experts to share their knowledge, including sleep experts, behaviour experts and nutrition experts, to name just a few, the podcast provides invaluable insights and practical advice on various topics, ensuring that listeners have access to the best information available. But The Little Bean Podcast isn’t just about expert advice; it’s also about sharing the real, unfiltered experiences of parents who have been there and done it. These personal stories create a sense of solidarity and reassurance, reminding listeners that they are not alone in their journey.
I've been told one of the most beloved aspects of The Little Bean Podcast is my warm, conversational tone. I'm hoping my genuine empathy and understanding comes through in my chats with guests and listeners. My aim is to make the audience feel seen and heard, creating a virtual hug or a good belly laugh just when you need it most. Hopefully, this friendly approach helps to demystify the often overwhelming world of parenting, making it feel more manageable and less isolating.
In addition to the regular episodes, The Little Bean Podcast features special segments that add variety and depth to the content. These include Q&A sessions where listeners can send in their questions and get personalised advice, interviews with parents sharing their unique stories, and themed episodes that focus on specific aspects of parenting, such as feeding, sleep routines, and mental health. These segments ensure that the podcast remains dynamic and responsive to the needs of you, its audience.
