I should know as I missed it and still regret it today!!!!

Holding your precious newborn in your arms is the most magical moment and one you want to treasure forever. But you will be amazed at how quickly you forget they were ever that tiny.


I know, as my two oldest son’s are almost as tall as me now and my youngest is catching up fast! Their tiny fingers wrapped around my little finger are just a distant memory and one I wish I had captured to treasure forever.


This is why I am passionate about what I do - to make sure no other family misses out capturing their most precious memories, like I did and still regret to this day. 


Whether you are visiting the studio for the first, second or even third time, it is not just to take a few photographs but to create new memories while also capturing timeless art. You can then relive each magical adventure over and over again and share it with all the family. 


To give every family welcomed to the studio so much more with every portrait, I have qualified to Associate level with the Master Photographers Association and the Guild of Newborn and Baby Photographers. It took many hours of training with top national and international photographers as well as time to prepare the required written documents but it was worth it to be able to offer my clients the best of everything I learned….and am still learning today.


Also, you, as a new mum, want to know that your precious baby is safe.  To ensure every baby welcomed to the studio is looked after as safely as possible, I have also achieved my Newborn Certification with the Master Photographers Association. Newborn safety is something I am very passionate about and want every new parent to know as much as possible about too. Joshua, Samuel and Elijah are my three boys and they are my world, along with my husband Rob and our two dogs Freddie and Aggie. Our boys are typical boys and love football, cricket, Lego-building and taking Freddie and Aggie on outdoor family adventures. As you can imagine, everything is done at a thousand miles an hour and at three thousand decibels and I wouldn’t change it for the world!

One

Starting your journey

As soon as you get in contact I will give you a call and chat through everything. Have a specific theme in mind or a particular colour scheme? No problem, we can plan everything and if you're not sure I can help too!


Then there's the Zoom call before your session. It means getting to know you and making sure your session is designed for you.

Your family photoshoot

At my photography studio in Kings Bromley, near Lichfield in Staffordshire, the fun begins!


With a range of colour schemes and props, your session will be relaxed and capture the essence of your family.

Three

Your bespoke gallery presentation

At the end of your session I will arrange a gallery presentation appointment at a convenient time for you. This is normally in the viewing room at the studio but can also be via Zoom if that is more convenient for you. I suggest you bring your diary with you to the studio session so we can confirm a date.


There are lots of artwork samples in the studio for you to look at and feel. I will run through all the options with you and you will have a product guide to take away with you.

Here's some of the most
frequently asked questions...

  • What should we wear for the family portraits?

    I will run through this in more details during your Zoom call before your session, but I always suggest wearing neutral, unpatterened clothes. All wearing black, white or cream tops works really well. If you want to wear brighter colours then block colours work really well such as all wearing blue tops or grey tops.

  • How long is the photoshoot?

    I normally say allow about 2 hours for a family photoshoot but this can vary. If you have younger children then any more than 1 hour can be too mcu for them. We chat through this at our Zoom call and make sure everyone is happy throughout the session.

  • Do I need to bring anything with me to the session?

    Again we will chat theough this at your Zoom call. If your children (or you) have any particular interests then it's great to include those in the session. It means the session is even more personalised to your family. Maybe you all like going walking.....in which case bring your walking boots or wellies!

  • Should Mum's wear extra make-up?

    This is a question I often get asked. The answer is only wear what you are comfortable with. You don't want to be looking at your artwork on the walls and always say "I don't normally look like that"! We want your artwork to truly reflect you!

  • Can we include a change of clothes?

    Yes of course you can. We can chat through your outfits at your Zoom call. If you have little ones I do recommend keeping the outfit changes limited as they may get a little grumpy having to change too many times.

  • What portraits do you include?

    We will include lots of different portraits. Some can be more 'posed' and some can be family fun! We also include single portraits as well as Mum and Dad together and siblings together. Different group portraits make great artwork collections for the wall!

  • What artwork packages do you do?

    There is a wide variety of artwork options available, all of which are shown in the studio for you to have a look at and feel. If there is something you are specifically looking for that you don't see then just let me know and I can speak to my printers to see if they can get it for me.

  • When can we see our gallery?
