Capturing Every Precious Moment with Passion and Heart
Welcome to Memory Lane, where every fleeting moment of parenthood is cherished and preserved with love. I’m Sarah Baldock, the heart and soul behind this unique initiative, and I am thrilled to share my journey with you.
My story begins in 1988, filled with dreams of a medical career. However, life took a different turn when my grades didn’t meet the threshold for medical school. My ever-supportive Mum chose Biochemistry and Pharmacology for me through clearing, unknowingly mapping out my future. Tragically, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and passed away in 1990, just before I graduated. This profound loss deeply influenced my path, ultimately leading to the founding of Sarah Baldock Portraits.
After earning my PhD in Pharmacology, I spent years in medical writing, driven by a desire to help others. But my journey took another turn with the birth of my three miracle boys, Joshua, Samuel, and Elijah, after facing challenges in starting a family. The joy and preciousness of these moments with my children inspired me to help other families cherish their own special times.
This passion led to the creation of "memography," a term I coined to describe the seamless blend of memories with photography. Memography goes beyond capturing images; it’s about telling a heartfelt story that spans an entire year of a child’s life. My award-winning photography skills, combined with my empathetic understanding of parenthood, allow me to document every precious moment, from the mundane to the monumental. Each photograph is infused with emotion and significance, transforming fleeting instances into timeless treasures.
As a Mum, I know firsthand how quickly time flies. From their first cry to their first steps, it’s easy to let these moments escape. That’s why I created the Moments & Milestones Experience. This unique, year-long journey captures your family’s spirit, your children’s wonder, and all the love that binds you together. It’s about more than just beautiful portraits; it’s about creating a legacy of love, laughter, and the unforgettable journey of your family’s early years.
My commitment to helping others, shaped by personal experiences and professional expertise, drives everything I do. I am passionate about providing families with the tools to capture, cherish, and relive their precious moments. As my boys grow up I know too well how important it is to capture every tiny detail because as they get older you realise how quickly you forget how tiny they once were.
do i have to be a part of everything in memory lane?
No not at all. Memory Lane itself is a collection of different resources; The Mom Hub, The Little Bean Podcast and Moments and Milestones; and you can be part of any one or all three. It is totally up to you....you can just listen to the podcast, or just join The Mom Hub or just start your Moments and Milestones Experience. You can be as involved as you wish.
is the mom hub free to join?
Yes it is. You can join The Mom Hub for free and be part of the online community. You can benefit from all the articles and downloadable content that is available as well as comment and even ask questions. Everyone in The Mom Hub is on the same rollercoaster of parenthood.....they just may be further along the tracks than you!!
